McKenzie Method
The McKenzie Method, also known as Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), is a classification and treatment protocol for problems of the spine, such as low back and neck pain, herniated discs, radiating leg or arm pain/numbness, and sciatica. A key component of the McKenzie Method is patient education in proper exercise and posture in order for patients to treat their own pain, rather than relying on various therapists. Each of the physicians here at CCRC has been trained in McKenzie. It is a central part of both our assessment and treatment.
Dr. Richard Ulm and Dr. Brad Muse have studied and become certified McKenzie therapists. They are one of less than 200 chiropractic physicians in the entire United States certified in this technique. Dr. Jordan Meyer has finished his coursework for this certification and plans on sitting for the examination this fall.
