Get Moving Right in 2024

We all like to take the new year as an opportunity to get healthier. This year the entire CCRC team is working with local gyms in the area to help the Dublin community get moving right in 2024. Each Saturday in January at 1:00p there will be an event educating all who want to participate about fitness. The first will be a lecture by our very own Dr. Richard Ulm on Principles of Fitness. Each subsequent Saturday will be a workshop at a local gym exposing participants to a wide variety of exercise types (strength training, cardio, and interval training).

The purpose of this event is to help everyone adopt more healthy habits in 2024.

January 6th: Presentation on Fitness by Dr. Richard Ulm
Time: 1:00p – 2:00p
Location: Springhill Suites Columbus/Dublin – 4475 Bridge Park Ave, Dublin, OH 43017
Topic: Dr. Ulm will be doing a lecture wherein he will give an explanation of fitness and explain what we all need to do to maintain healthy fitness habits. 
January 13th: Workshop on Strength Training at Peak Human Performance
Time: 1:00 – 3:00p
Location: Peak Human Performance – 7920 Corporate Blvd C, Plain City, OH 43064
Topic: Owner and Head Coach, Alex White will introduce the participants to strength training. In this workshop, he will expose participants to strength training and teach them how to safely utilize this form of exercise.
January 20th: Workshop on Interval Training at Friendship Fitness
Time: 1:00p – 3:00p
Location: Friendship Fitness – 6625 Reflections Dr, Dublin, OH 43017
Topic: Owner and Head Coach Jeff Binek will be running a workshop introducing the participants to the benefits & principles of interval (anaerobic) training. Jeff will give an informal lecture on interval training which will be followed by a safe, but effective workout exposing the participants to interval training.
January 27th: Workshop on Cardio (Aerobic) Training
Time: 1:00 – 3:00p

Topic: Dr. Jordan Meyer will talk about the benefits of cardio exercise and take the group through a couple cardiovascular style workouts to teach them how to safely and effectively perform these on their own.
