Dr. Meyer will be teaching a free running form clinic on Saturday, May 11th at Davis Middle School. The clinic starts at 9:00a and is free for all interested. Whether you want to speed up your 5K time or just stay healthy this season, improving your running form is going to be the best bang for your buck.

There are many running form mistakes out there that not only hinder performance but put you at higher risk for injury. Most of the common injuries that plague the running community are avoidable with proper progression and good running form. Shin splints, ITB compression syndrome, Achilles tendonopathy, and even plantar fasciitis can all be avoided if you progress your training properly and make sure your running form is on point.

We offer this free community running clinic to help keep runners healthy and on the road this season.

The cost is $0.00 and all are welcome, so bring you entire running group so they too can stay healthy this season.

See you all at 9:00a on Saturday, May 11th at the Davis Middle School track in Dublin!

About Dr. Meyer..

Dr. Meyer has been with CCRC for more than 5 years.  A runner himself, he is the founder of the CCRC running club, which meets on Tuesdays at 6:30p at Bridge park. (All are welcome!)

Like the other physicians at CCRC, he takes a functional approach to his treatments; this means that he is not only going to work to get you out of pain, but to improve your function as well. Unlike more traditional chiropractors who use exclusively manipulation to treat, his treatments will involve multiple therapies to ensure that he gets you back on the road as quickly as possible. He is trained in Active Release Technique, the McKenzie Method, dry needling, and many other techniques that are highly effective for treating runners. In his practice, he sees a lot of running injuries such plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, ITB syndrome and many others.

Dr. Meyer is from small town Ohio and this is expressed in his kind and jovial personality. Outside of seeing patients, he enjoys exercising, photography, and traveling.

What the workshop involves...

  • Brief lecture on the major characteristics of proper running gait technique

  • Workshop & drills to improve your running form that day.

There is no registration, just show up and remember to bring a friend!
