Are you, your child or perhaps your athlete competing in this year’s 2023 XC season? Do you want to improve your performance? Would you like to get through the season without injury? If your answer to any of these questions is yes, this workshop is right up your alley. 

The purpose of this workshop is simple: maximize performance and minimize the athlete’s risk of injury. 

This workshop is open to all parents, coaches, and athletes competing in the 2023 XC season.  Parents and coaches are free, but participating athletes will pay $49.00/attendee.  Each participating athlete will be getting a swag bag worth over $100.00 with a t-shirt, foam roller, shoe bag, and gift cards/coupons for both Columbus Running Company (CRC) and the Columbus Chiropractic & Rehabilitation Center (CCRC). 

This workshop will be taught by Dr. Ulm and Dr. Meyer (physicians at CCRC) and the Columbus Running Company staff. 

 

What the workshop involves...

  • Understanding the 5 most common running injuries and how to prevent them (Lecture: Dr. Richard Ulm)
  • How to pick the right shoe. (Lecture: CRC Staff)
  • How to stretch and mobilize effectively to avoid injury (workshop: Dr. Meyer & Dr. Ulm)
  • Improving your running form (workshop: Dr. Ulm & Matt Suttle)
  • In season core training for the XC athlete (Workshop: Dr. Meyer & Dr. Ulm)
